How Do I Know If He or She is Daddy or Mommy Material?
Try him or her out; take them to your friend, cousin, or sisters, anywhere there’s a baby on hand and place the baby or small child in their arms. That should do it. Or at the very least, be a good indication.
Other than that, you could gently start the conversation about kids and families by talking about your own family or that of a friend and see what they say.
Of course, you could ask them outright, however depending on how long you’ve been together you could scare them off. If in doubt, take it gently and ask questions that scout around the topic. Questions like; did you like growing up in a large family or if he didn’t, you can ask if he would have preferred to have been in a large family.
These actions should give an idea if they desire to have the patter of little feet close by.
